Features of Whoowasit? HD:

  • Excellent for developing deduction skills.
  • Collaborative play great for families, friends or with the iPad.
  • Great for memory.
  • Challenging game with different difficulty levels to appeal to a large audience.
  • Great graphics, great design and all round a very engaging mystery game.
Excellent turn based mystery solving game for children 6 upwards, well designed and challenging!

A thief (10 suspects) has stolen the ring and hidden it in a treasure chest in the castle, the evil wizard is on the way to find it. Your aim is to work out the clues in the time given before the evil wizard gets to the castle.

Like Cluedo (Clue), you are trying to find out the suspect by visiting rooms and either asking questions or searching.

You can play up to 4 players and make those players people or iPad. This is a turn based game where you roll a dice and move to a particular room.  Once there you can choose to Search, Question, use magic or open a chest.

Search for food to give the animal in each room, when you give the correct animal the right food they will give you a message.  The message usually helps you eliminate 2 suspects from the 10.
There is a ghost in the game that moves from room to room if you roll the dice to land on him.  If he arrives in the room you are in he'll scare you back to the nursery.
You also cannot enter the room where he is. This can be challenging as you are moved around the board.

You can collect 10 rings and badges for added motivation!

It can be quite difficult to remember the answers given so writing them down can help, otherwise click on the cat or the players portrait and you will hear again all the information.  I suggest playing the tutorial and reading the instructions before beginning!

This is a great game for children 6 and over and the first few times I suggest an adult plays. iPad Lad (age 10) plays this game on his own lots as he loves challenging games where he really has to think! Limited Reading Required.
