Mum's Opinion of iPad (Month 4) - Horizons
This really is an amazing gadget, just using the touch screen has become such a ‘normal’ thing that we have really forgotten that it is necessary to use a mouse - I am looking forward to the days that all computers will be controlled this way!

iPad Education - Learning letters on iPadI think we have had the iPad for about 4 months, but I could be way off, I've lost track of iPad time!!  It feels like we've ALWAYS had an iPad.  How did we ever do without it! This really is an amazing gadget, just using the touch screen has become such a ‘normal’ thing that we have really forgotten that it is necessary to use a mouse - I am looking forward to the days that all computers will be controlled this way!

The children are STILL LOVING the iPad, we have been through a few changes when it comes to using it and have now established a 4pm iPad time which includes half and hour for each of the boys.

Our little girl (almost 2) now also loves the iPad and has experienced now many different apps and has her favourites. She thinks the iPad is called “Birdie” because the first thing she did on it was ‘Sound Shaker’, but since then she has moved in leaps and bounds and it really is a great way for her to learn many things as all of the apps she is watching or participating in are teaching her, whether games, music, art, books or educational!

The boys are so clever at so many of the different types of games, that they are even managing to get past levels on things that I can't!! The youngest, 4,  is learning to play Checkers, which was quite tricky for him on the real board somehow, but now he loves playing against the iPad, with his brother coaching sometimes too. (Great team building).

Our eldest, currently age 6, is a wizz at everything on the iPad, going from strength to strength with every new educational App we provide him with, even working them out to begin with by himself not able to read the instructions! Great for self confidence!

Enjoy your iPad. ~ iPad Mum
