Features of My Kingdom for the Princess:
This is a fantasy simulation game set in a magical land where you are Arthur, the brave Knight on a quest in service to the King. After a tornado to restore the land and return the Princess home safely to her father. You follow the pathway completing your tasks along the way to gain your castle reward!
You are responsible for everything from collecting gold, repairing roads and bridges, picking and planting flowers, constructing buildings and clearing roads. There are so many things to think about during the game, which adds suspense, challenge and fun! The storyline you are following means you really feel good as you make your way to help Arthur save Helen. Each time you meet the game objectives before 'nightfall' ( a certain point in time in the game that you can see displayed). To add to the feeling of overall satisfaction you have a section of your 'castle' revealed in a gorgeously detailed image that is built up over the game. It is really satisfying to see the entire castle picture.
The variety of tasks you need to complete and how you complete them is very well thought out, the graphics and controls are great. At each level you have until nightfall which adds the timer dimension but much more subtlety. You can replay each level if you do not succeed.
The other great thing about this game is that you have bonuses along the way like upgrading your shack to a cottage and gaining an extra worker, building sawmills to get more wood and there are ways to speed up your workers, double your resource points and even stop time for 10 seconds!
4 people can play this game and each person can save their own map and progress. This makes this game great value for money for a family.
This is a really great game and ALL the family LOVE it - nice work developers!
10 out of 10!
Half of our family likes this game. The third-party control this game offers appeals to some, others find it frustrating to merely control guys, rather than BE the guy playing. One of iPadMum's favourites. Although we have completed the game, we highly recommend it as a challenging and fulfilling game, on many levels... this was the boys choice of games for several weeks after installing it! Some reading required, but only to follow the storyline, not to play the game!
